i love today's devotionals. here goes....A woman went to a diet center to lose weight. The director took her to a full-length mirror. On it he outlined a figure and told her, "This is what I want you to look like at the end of the program."
Days of intense dieting and exercise followed, and every week the woman would stand in front of the mirror, discouraged because her bulging outline didn't fit the director's ideal. But she kept at it, and finally one day she conformed to the image she longed for.
Putting ourselves next to Christ's perfect character reveals how "out of shape" we are. To be transformed into His image does not mean we attain sinless perfection; it means that we become complete and mature.
God often works through suffering to bring this about (James 1:2-4). Sometimes He uses the painful results of our sins. At other times, our difficulties may not be caused by a specific sin, yet we undergo the painful process of learning to obey our Father's will.
Are you hurting? Perhaps a shaping-up process is in progress. Jesus was perfect, yet He had to learn obedience through the things He suffered (Hebrews 5:8).
If you keep on trusting Jesus, you'll increasingly take on the image of His loveliness.

gotta rant.the ugly side of my xmas day.
i got home late.cause of some bus services misunderstanding. i reached home tired but happy. then mum had to ruin everything by snatching my bag and tipping over its contents. why? cause she's unhappy that im home late and wondered if my bag contained any evidence of what i did out there. what did she expect to find? condoms?? or what. then now she's right behind me yelling at me.
she did the unexplainable. confiscated my xmas prez from my bf. luckily its the skirt only. i told her that seriously it's a gift but she doesnt believe. think i spent a bomb on it. and said i am a slut trying to wear skirts that short. im short. the skirt wont look that short on me.
where is your trust? u never believed me. u threw my things out, took away my belongings, took away every single thing that doesnt deem "fit" for a student to have. so crazy. get lost.

quick blog before my tv programme.this christmas is really good. thanks to my honey! love u baby. thanks for the skirt n slippers though u know what happened to the skirt now. sigh. but shall not talk abt unhappy things. this is suppose to be a happy post. thanks honey for the fantastic day =) esp what happened in paragon. we must go there more often. oops haha. thanks for the letter too. =)
this has got to be the best xmas ever. maybe the nxt xmas will be better.when we celebrate our 1yr 7mths together. =)))

im still sad, bothered and unhappy BUT i still went to splurge on his xmas gift. still bought a nice box for his gift frm zara cause it doesnt come in a box. bought wrapping paper as well...wrapped it nicely. must have spent abt 6 hours in total making and writing a card. i wonder why. must be love. i hate to love.i hope i can feel happy and push back all my thoughts when i meet him up on xmas.
got myself a new pair of glasses. i dont want to get it but i need it. no choice. sigh. i paid for it myself.

so many things happened in just 3 days. it's a miracle that i didnt kill myslef. shed so much tears. heart torn. then mended. before it completely healed, the stitches have been torn off brutally. 3 days back, i fought with my bf abt something. sensitive issue. cant put it here.ystd, i received an sms frm him. "baby. missed you. why dont you come? what do u want for xmas dear? =)" sounds really sweet. problem is, that sms is not for me. it's for another girl. childhood friend, he says. wait. i must do this--> roll my eyes. now im rolling my eyes in sacarsm but last night, i was crying my eyes out. he flirts but he doesnt mean it. he doesnt even know it's flirting. naive. tsk.
okay. the blog is meant to be really long. but im sick of rambling. i turned to Him and He has lead me the way.

hmm suppose to have a pri sch class gathering. but ended up only 5 turned up! so i went shopping with charmaine instead, my best friend and classmate of 8yrs since pri2.im spoilt for choice! really dont know what to get for my bf for xmas. i have 5 items on my list and im afraid the list is getting longer. not going to say what they are cause he may be reading this. honey! why dont u drop hints on what u may want. makes life easier for me. and how i wish i have money. cld get everything on my list for him. he's always getting things for me. feel bad =(( sigh!
ahh i want the zara tube top! but doesnt have my size. M size is a lil loose. overheard the salesperson said to another customer that they only bring in 5 M-sizes when they restocked. bias! what abt smaller sized ppl?

i heard a bad rumour. but that guy probably bullshits. but it bothers me. but i shall try not to think abt it. actually there's a super super high chance it's bullshit. like 99%. it involves one of my closest people in my life and i trust this person. that's why i think it's probably 99.9% bs. but it is also because im soooo close to that person it bothers me though i know that rumour is not true.

though i used to find religions redundant, but now i've converted. but that isnt because of influence of my boyfriend or whatsoever. many people doubted my faith and said it's because my boyfriend is a christian that's why i became one. that is not true. im in a methodist school now. used to be in a catholic school. went to church when i was young. this is so not the first time i came close to christianity. ive been in my own personal quest for the search of God in my life since i dont know how long ago. it is not because of my boyfriend or my friends or what that i became a christian. the 1st thing many people ask when they knew that im a christian now is, "is it because of the people in church?" or "is it because of your boyfriend?" i will never covnert to a religion because of people. what's the point if i do that and have no faith in that religion? that's bullshit. and then one asked if i love my bf more or if i love God more. because apparently this person thinks im under the influence of my boyfriend that's why i embraced God. though i said that i wanted to read the bible to understand my bf's religion more, it doesnt mean that cause of him, i converted. if i read the bible and dont believe, i still wont convert.but then again, to stand on other ppl's point of view, maybe that's what everything seemed like. but just clarifying that it isnt true. it may be because God finds it saddening that i used to find God redundant in my life, that's why He sent people to me to share their faith. at the end of everything, it's still my choice.

i got talent scouted by a modelling agency last fri. i think it's fake though. im short. how can a model be THIS height? probably a hair/face model. what the newspaper dubbed as body parts model. this is the 2nd time i got scouted though.weird.but there's always a small print to everything.so im highly sceptical.and the person asked for my age. i said 17. then she asked for my birthday. kind of like hoping i'll turn 18 pretty soon. so i think..it's smth not good. models dont have to be 18. yikes.im still a online shopping addict. urghs. want to bid for this chanel bag. there's fendi too.n burberry. which one?? the shipping costs are damn ex. all frm america or UK. sigh.

4th day without my honey. im survivng though. getting used to it.oops.today's a special day. went to church with joseph. it was good. the service and everything.and the best thing is that im saved. yes. i accepted Jesus as my savior =) the pastor said that i'll wake up 2mr feeling very different. i believe him. it's the last week city harvest church will be at jurong west. it's moving to expo. means i cant attend! too far away. mum would never allow. sigh. she's so anti religions. she's evil and demonic. oops. but she can be saved too if she believes. im not talking abt demons thou. the 7 great demons, which are the 7 great sins.
no bible quotes today. but i have not been backsliding! i've been reading the gospels everyday. they're interesting thou.

so lonely. 6more days before he will be back. ahh! today, i practically ran to the Lord for help and solace twice. feel much better and He wrapped his arms around me. cause i felt lonely. so i flipped to the bible for help."Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as u have. For He Himself had said, 'i will never leave you or foresake you.' So we may boldly say: 'the Lord is my helper; i will not fear. What can man do to me?"-- Hebrews 13:5, 6
i found this verse under the contents page of Where To Find Help in my bible, under "lonely". so useful right? so if u have any problems in life, can just flip to the respective verses.
the 2nd incident i ran to Lord is: my bro is a combat medic in army. he's currently attached to SGH. he had this gruesome and horrible case today. this teenager had his hand chopped off in a gang fight. i was devastated. that guy is 17yrs old. my age. so i just said a prayer for Lord to guide him in future. he's so young. how can he waste his youth by joining gangs? so sad. i felt so fortunate. that im not bogged down by things like this, and being in a jc, if i work hard, my future shld be all bright and shiny.sigh.
