It's finally over!! I mean bioentrepreneurship. Actually I'm super relieved, not just because bioentre is over, but this super hectic period is done. Within these 3 weeks, starting from the week before recess week, I finished my genetics assignment, done with virology presentation, psych quiz, and this bioentre crap. Phew! I feel so drained as if it was exam period.

Now i'll be busy with another thing. Choosing my final year project, and going for the interviews =(

It's so true to think that you should trust no one but yourself, and ok, maybe your spouse.

The professor played sick mind games with us during monday and tuesday of the bioentrepreneurship course. When the results of the games are taken into consideration of your actual course grades, things get dirty. The person whom you think you know, transforms into another person, or rather he/she will show the ugly side that you have never seen. Everyone wants to do well. Who doesn't? The difference is that NOT everyone wants to do well at the expense of other people (unless you hate those people).

It's quite BS when the prof says that the game will show who is the true entrepreneur, i.e. who will dare to be different from others. I think the game more effectively showed who has less integrity than others, who is willing to succeed by making others fail. It's so ironic, because we did an activity before the game to write down the characteristics of an entrepreneur, and one of the characteristic is INTEGRITY.

I think in the real world, you can succeed for the time being by doing 'backdoor' things like sucking up to your leaders, by trying to make others look bad etc, but you cannot succeed forever by doing this. The most successful entrepreneurs are honest and kind people who really want to make a difference in lives of other people.

Sigh my acne problem is never going to go away =( I have no idea why my skin became so bad. I used to hardly have any acne.

I finished quite a few products recently. So proud of myself for being able to finish my stash bit by bit without buying anymore.

I finished my bio-essence bio-hydra eye and lip makeup remover. It's this dual layer remover, typical of many eye and lip makeup removers. I'm actually thinking of repurchasing this, because it can remove my super super waterproof and stubborn Fasio mascara well, and it doesn't sting my eyes too if i accidentally get it inside my eyes. One thing I don't like is the fragrance, but it doesn't seem to irritate my skin, so I can bear with it. Oh, and it does leave an oily film behind. But that's not a problem because I double cleanse anyway. My eye makeup remover now is Maybelline's, which I don't like as much simply because it can't remove waterproof mascaras as well as bio-essence's. I spend alot more time pressing a soaked cotton pad to my eyes longer. But what I do like is that it doesn't leave an oily film, doesn't sting my eyes and doesn't have a strong fragrance.

Second thing I finished is my L'oreal Derma Genesis toner. I have not much to review about this, because it seems to be a so-so toner, meaning, I don't see any positive results, nor do I see any negative results. It seems pretty mild, doesn't sting my skin even when my skin was sensitive and peeling due to Diacneal use. It's marketed as a pore-minimising toner, but my pores are still as huge as ever.

Third item that I completed is another L'oreal toner. It's the L'oreal Pure Zone toner. This is much stronger and harsher than the derma genesis one. It contains way more alcohol, and can be very dehydrating to people with normal to dry skin. It also has salicylic acid, which makes sense, because this toner is made for blemish skin. I freaking LOVE this toner. I used to break out a long time ago, but after using the daily scrub from the same range, together with this toner, my skin stayed clear. This range is discontinued anyway, which is so upsetting. When I finished the Pure Zone scrub and couldn't find it around anymore, I started having a little more breakout than usual. Then when I finished the toner as well, BAM! I start breaking out like crazy. I do know that Pure Zone products are the things that are keeping my skin clear for so long. I used 3 tubes of the scrub and 3 bottles of the toner, if I remember correctly, which equates to clear skin for a little over a year. Why did L'oreal discontinue this?????? ='(

ARGH! For one day, ONE DAY ONLY, yesterday, I thought that my skin was getting better. My old zits popped, my cystic pimples flattened already. THEN LAST NIGHT while I was cleaning off my makeup and washing my face, I felt a painful lump another my skin AGAIN!! #^*)($^$@!&W$#$. This morning, it became a full blown cyst which hurts so bad ='( actually it started really hurting in the middle of the night when I couldn't sleep on the side with the pimple, because it just hurts so freaking bad!

On top of that, I have a freaking bad sore throat and runny/blocked nose and incessant sweating. And on top of that, my work is piling up. Crap. Talk about with cherries on top.

Have been so busy lately! Final year is not fun. So much for being happy that I only have 5 modules instead of my usual 6. But the workload is crazy! Psych test coming up, viro presentation next, and I have bioentrepreneurship during the entire recess week. I have no recess week! I hope bioentre is worth sacrificing my recess week for, because I have loads of work due after the recess week. I have no idea how to find time to do them. Probably have to reduce sleeping hours big time.

Even the workload is dampening my shopping spirit! I only bought 1 eyeshadow the entire week. I haven't bought much last week either, just a powder puff from nature republic to replace mac's crappy one, and 2 nail polishes. That's good too, because I save a lot from not shopping!

My skin is going from bad to worse. I have new pimples everyweek. I used to have 1 or 2 cystic pimples a month. Now I get 1 a week, on top of a few other non-cystic pimples. Really contemplating going to the doctor.

I actually wrote a list of a skincare routine to follow. I have a lot of products at home, so I tend to use different ones everyday or so. But now, I'm forcing myself to use the same products everyday, to see if my skin stabilises.

Morning:
Olay cream cleanser for oily/blemish prone skin
Loreal toner (has salicylic acid) diluted with rose water
Avene oil regulating lotion (moisturiser)
Avene very high protection emulsion SPF50
Skinfood peach sake pore bb cream (Just want to finish this up)

Night:
Za cleansing oil (this is finishing, so I'll replace this with Kose's)
Olay cream cleanser for oily/blemish prone skin
Loreal toner (has salicylic acid) diluted with rose water
Avene Diacneal (for old spots), Garnier roll-on spot treatment (for new pimples). I only use Diacneal on alternate days, because it's rather harsh.
Clean and Clear oil-free moisturiser (Just want to finish this up too)

Hope I see some improvement!
