oh man. my school students, meaning people from the sch of biological sciences, may be honest, but the general NTU population isnt! a friend lost his handphone in the LT, and then 15mins later it was gone already. tried calling the phone too. at first it rang. and then it was off. meaning someone took it already. sucks man.anyway, just came across this online. horror!! she's joycelyn wilderstern or something like that. cant remember how to spell her exact name. she's touted to be 'world's scariest celebrity' because of her horrendous 'halloween mask' face.
the first photo was before any plastic surgery. and then after she married some super rich guy, she became insecure that her husband would leave her. so she went to get plastic surgery done on her eyes. she wanted 'cat-like' eyes because her husband likes cats. and then so on and so forth, until she really looks like a lion now. of course her husband left her. haha.
anyway it's a wonder how women can feel insecure about themselves when they have rich husbands. just on the new paper on sunday, some rich tai tai spent $700k on plastic surgery for the same reason. her husband is owner of some boutique asia-wide, and constantly surrounded by beautiful and young women.
but i understand la. i also told myself not to get a rich hot boyfriend because if i have one, i would be really insecure because many girls will cling to him. haha.

oh my goodness. it's late. not really late but late enough. have to wake up at 630 tomorrow. lessons sucks. just ended an online project discussion. tired and worn out but yet so many things to do. worst thing is that exams are in two weeks. uni is seriously merciless. there's no break or anything right before exams. there are still lectures and tutorials, and lab reports due right to the very last day of the school term, after which the exams start few days later.anyway it's comforting to know that students in my school are so honest. i know many friends and coursemates who lose things like thumbdrives and pencil cases and wallets, but they're ALL promptly returned in a few days. of course provided if you lose it in the school building. i lost my spectacles also. but someone returned it to the office. not that anyone would want to keep them, but my point is that my school people are so honest! way to go!

it's yet another Fun-O-Rama at acjc. so nostalgic being there today. reminds me of the previous fun-o-rama. all the time and effort my class put in with the games and food stall. not to mention all the money involved that came right out of our pockets, all for the sake of raising funds for the new arts building. well, just like my fun-o-rama, this one is about the same. same kind of foods, same kind of games and haunted houses. i guess it just gets boring after a while. after all, im a 20 year old woman and the games have a target age group of three to at most 16 years old. time flies waaaayyy too quickly. it's already been two years since my batch had the fun-o-rama. and it's almost the end of my first year at uni. oh my goodness! =( so badly want to be a teen again, to be in jc again.anyway, first teacher i met at fun-o-rama: my former form-class teacher!! i dont know if it's a good or bad thing. haha. she's not the nicest person around. but as long as you're no longer in her class and doing badly in it, she wont put you down. first thing i ate there: some pretty good ice cream. for 6 dollars, it'd better be good. anyway i feel that fun-o-rama is always just there to rip people off. especially rich people. it's certainly not a rumour that majority of acjc people are rich. because majority of them come from acs(i) or acs barker, and mgs. and these schools are well nested among famous private-estate district. and also, they have very expensive school fees. not expensive compared to uni fees, but very expensive for normal sec school fees.
during my time, there was some dispute over the finances of our game stall. my class has a few not well off people like myself. and i guess since we're also not from affiliated secondary schools, we do not feel a sense of loyalty for acjc. hence some of us felt, "wtf?!? we spend so much money for this game stall just for the stupid arts building which we wont even get to enjoy(cuz we have graduated before it was finished)?!?? no way! we must compensate ourselves in certain ways!" hence the dispute started and im not going to reveal how we compensated ourselves. haha. though it's wrong, i dont feel bad about it. i dont have alot of pocket money, and i cant afford to spend money on something that i wont get to use. i will certainly donate to the needy. but i wont donate to the already rich.

went to BHG bazaar at school today. there're quite a number of good deals. especially lingerie. triumph bras, particularly the sloggi range, usually cost about 50bucks!?!?! but there they're selling them at the bazaar for about 15 to 24 bucks. cheap cheap. sloggi underwear going at 2 or 3 for around 15. so much cheaper than usual. other brands like sorella and pierre cardin bras going at 10. so cheap right?? how can i not buy any. evelyn bought some also. haha =)oh no. impending doom again! exams. sigh.

thanks cariann for your gifts! haha. dont worry that it's belated, because that was what made it a really nice surprise. made me much happier because i was soooooo grumpy that we got to sleep so late the night before. haha. stupid project. heh.had lunch with charmaine today. havent seen her ever since uni started! it was a last minute arrangement and coincidentally i was wearing the necklace she gave me when we were sec2. so long ago. sorry char i owe you money for the shaved ice and teh bing. i'll treat you next time we meet up. =)

new pendant! my dad went shopping with some super rich client and then after spending hundreds in some shop, the client that is, you get to redeem pearl stuff. the shop must be in pearl centre in chinatown. haha. anyway, then the client gave this to him. the redeemed pearl pendant.
got a tag box finally. i doubt anyone would tag me. but anyway. ya. tagboard up!

zac is a total library noob. he doesnt even know how to find a particular author or section in the library. and he doesnt know how to use the self service borrowing machine. haha. so little baby. i got a cute new handphone pouch today...... and a new phone! sony ericsson k770i. the phone is free actually because my dad gets this $500 phone voucher every year. so every year someone in my family can get a new phone with that. pardon my weird cartoon bedsheets.

went IMM with zac this evening to have dinner. went daiso also and there, i saw a pair of pretty decent quality fake eyelash. for $2, why not? haha. but then zac was really opposed to it. he said he likes me the way i am and doesnt like me putting "enhancements" like these. well, i was disappointed, because i wanted to dress up pretty for him, thinking that i'll look better with such nice long lashes. but then he said he likes my natural lashes. fake eyelash are, well, fake and not a real part of me. there goes my hope of getting a nose job also. haha. i was like pouting and stuff, but inside, i was like all mushy. zac's so sweet la. i love you!1:07 AM

i was late for school today! it was ridiculous, how i ended up late. i live so near, and i left home at 715am for my 830am lesson. i usually take the 172 bus from my house to the NTU exit, after which i'll cross the road to take 199 into NTU. so, i reached the bus stop at the NTU exit at 750. pretty usual. and then, while crossing the road halfway, TWO DOUBLE-DECKED 199 reached the 199 stop....and didnt wait for us and turned into NTU.for those who dont take 199, double-decked 199 is rare and almost never before, two buses came at a time. furthermore, 199 service is slow like a tortoise. bus drivers would mostly wait for us, if they're already at the stop and they see students (it's quite easy to identify students) crossing the road from the 172 bus stop. so, after the 2 double decked buses, the next bus came 25mins later, at 815!!! by then, the bus stop was already fully packed. and guess what, one measly SINGLE DECK bus came. and since it came from the interchange, it was already fully packed with students. so i couldnt board. more students arrived at the bus stop. another fully packed single deck 199 came few mins later. couldnt board again. so i finally shared a cab with 4 other girls. that's not all. we gave cab uncle directions. then when we said he could stop at this place, he went on driving further up. though it's a short distance further up by car, on foot, i had to climb the monster south spine stairs and walk to LT20 which is quite a distance. worse still, i havent had breakfast. made me so grumpy in the morning.
ahh today at cbc lecture, cariann and i were like fighting for life!! becuase........ some stupid asshole(literally) keeps farting and farting and it was super smelly. worse still, there was some guy sitting next to me, and his breath stinks. everytime i heard him sigh or talk to the person next to him, i can smell his stinky breath. cariann and i were covering our noses with our jackets the whole 1hr we were there. we left the lecture after an hour because we simply cannot take the pungent smell anymore. okay i admit it was also because we were to lazy to sit through the whole thing.

how immature adults can be! im talking about my parents. their quarrelling and screaming and bitching woke me up in the morning. i told them they were being superbly noisy. then immediately both of them tried to vie for my support. they instantly turned their attention to me and started giving me reasons why the other party is wrong and they're right. the thing is, both of them are trying to convince me that the other person started to argument first and hence it's not their fault! how immature is that??!?zac and i are like worlds' apart. hence im really afraid that if we get married one day, we may end up quarrelling like my parents. day in day out, non-stop, 24/7. growls.
now i also know why love isnt enough to bring two people together. we love each other immensely. no doubt. but.... sigh.

argh. today while getting ready to go out with zac, i dropped my foundation powder! and cause i was cleaning it up from the floor, i was late to meet him. and also, there goes my foundation. well, it's a good excuse to buy a new one. i like buying new things, but i think there's no need to afterall. after not putting anything on my face for about 2 weeks now, my complexion is clearing up. recently i had bouts of clogged pores and pimples, which i hypothesise, is from cosmetics. so since my skin is getting clearer, i shldnt put anymore cosmetics in case the zits appear again. but thanks to this anti-bac moisturiser that i have also. the Guardian woman says it contains VitE and VitC. can remove pigmented pimple scars and prevent clogged pores. i've been putting it on religiously. =) and it really works. it's very good.11:23 PM

what a busy week at sbs. yesterday there was the science symposium, today was sbs carival. i had a test also, and did lab report till 1.30am this morning. so tired already. glad this week is almost over!at the carnival, there was the free health screening. i've got the lowest end end of normal blood glucose level, which is really surprising because i thought i eat and drink so much sweet things that i'd have a really high blood glucose level. other than that, im underweight as usual. BMI of 17.0...blood pressure normal range also. i bought a nice purple and gold ear stud at the carnival from elicia's stall. pretty pretty.
it's so rainy nowadays. so cold. the garden which i always have to walk through everyday is always flooded. yesterday it was so flooded that my feet was totally submerged in rainwater most of the time. the pond in the garden is superbly overflooded, contributing to the garden flood. sigh! must wear rubber boots already. lol.

today went to SSO concert. no violin performance. abit disappointing. it's mostly woodwind instruments and the harp. the music is good. except for the 30mins performance with french narration which i dont quite get. haha. we got there late. traffic was real bad. and then zac anyhow parked the car, hence he got a parking fine. hope it's not too much. sorry honey dont sad. hug hug ok? thanks hon for the tickets.here's my bday cake! pretty normal black forest la.but it was strawberries! i told my dad i wanted a chocolate cake with strawberries on top. so it's perfect. fits the bill. it's yummy.

20th birthday today. so sad! im no longer a teen. okay time to grow up i guess.i had such a fun-filled day. thanks to zac for planning everything. i went rock wall climbing! it's a whole lot of fun and great exercise also. i managed to scale 3 walls all the way to the top and another 2 walls i didnt manage to get all the way up. despite a few bruises from knocking against the protusions from coming down and rope burns from belaying zac, i still loved the whole experience. not really my first time climbing. but still =))) thanks baby for the present, the card and the rock climbing fees. haha. and also, tomorrow's SSO concert! yea. going for singapore symphony orchestra concert. being a violinist myself, i love love love orchestra music! the theme is Fantasy and Romance for tomorrow's concert. cannot wait!

just got results for my quiz. i scored 17 out of 20! yayness. i know it's like nothing, only a small test, but it constitutes 20 percent to my final grade and it is my first step towards my goal of getting A or A+ for this module. i hope i can!anyway, i bought the NTU foolscap paper for the first time today and..... it's DIRT CHEAP! it's only 70cents. and i thought the acjc one is cheap enough at $1.20 or was it $1.30. and i also almost bought some lousy foolscap paper from value dollar at $1.05. haha.
was talking to zac on the phone last night. just talking about how his colleagues think he was nuts for spending every free minute he has on msn with me when he was overseas for airforce detachment. but he said he told his colleagues this, "im proud of it. i love my girlfriend." my heart simply metled! sweetest honey on earth.

here's what i was having while mugging:
yummy =)spent friday at zac's house =)) he took leave. then to ikea to have meatballs and the fish thing. then queensway. and that's where i saw this gorgeous prada spectacle frame! it's all sparkly with flowers and diamante things at the side. very girlish. =)
hmm interesting stuff. but only the 'introverted' and 'find it hard to meet new people' parts are true. but it's overall true that im a scientist. haha.
