so tired. went to all the university open houses on both saturday and sundays. saturday was super super warm. perspiring the whole time. saturday started out on a bad note actually. cause before i left home, my mum decided that whatever i wore was too unpresentable to go to a uni. i was like what the fuck. im going to look at the campus, not going for an interview. but she continued scolding me. damn la. shut up can. like now she's right there yelling again. about my undesirable alevel grades. i can never please my mum. i have NEVER made her happy before, unlike my overachieveing brother.
anyway, ntu open house was really crowded. went for several talks. my first choice of course will remain unchanged at bio sciences. ntu looks very old. the open house was held at the newest building, the school of biological sciences. probably wanting to give people a better impression of the campus.haha.but the rest looks really crappy.
after ntu i went to smu. smu is horrible. we spent super long trying to find where the admin building, where the open house is held, is at. cause smu, unlike other unis with a enclosed campus, is among all the commercial and office building. so it's really confusing where the buildings are located. and it's hard to tell which person walking around the campus is actually a student that we can ask for directions. by then we found the admin building, i wasnt in the mood to attend anything anymore. so tired and feeling crappy already, not to mention ultra warm.
went to nus today. i must say nus has the best open house. everything is organised, and it has the best given directions to the open house. most students are also wearing this open house tshirt, which makes it easy for us to spot them ask then for directions. but then the talks were very very boring compared to ntu. abit disappointing. but i was impressed by how nus tried to promote their lifestyle on campus, especially staying on campus. ntu didnt really promote campus life. it's more academic. i also couldnt feel a ntu culture among the students there. at nus, the people were friendly. i was at the Sheares Hall, a dormitory, booth, and i was surprised at how the guy there cld share with me, his experience staying Sheares Hall, like im an old friend. it was a double-sided chat, instead of a one-sided one with him blabbering on about how great his Hall is. at nus, i cld feel a type of bond the undergrads have there. it was like how i felt when i went to hwa chong institution open house. i wanted to go there but i didnt do well enough. oh well.
anyway i've applied for nus already. 1st choice being pharmacy, then science fac, followed by fass, business admin, real estate, accountancy and project/facilities management.
